Week 2, The Old Testament

The Old Testament was first handed down by the art of storytelling by the Hebrews. Around 1100 BCE, these stories were written (in Hebrew). In 400BCE the work of determining the books that were sacred and authoritative began. These books would come to be called the Cannon.
